ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Improve the business climate for the expansion, retention, and attraction of business to Prince George’s County thus creating a strong and vibrant local economy which will enhance the quality of life for business and the community.

LEGISLATIVE ACTION
COMMITTEE

Aggressively promote pro-business legislation and oppose legislation that threatens a healthy business climate at both state and local levels.

SMALL AND MINORITY BUSINESS COMMITTEE

Participate in the development and implementation of strategies that enhance the efforts of small and minority business owners and operators. Exchange practice strategies that may help your company operate more efficiently and profitably. Learn what it takes to obtain and secure local and state government procurement contracts.

SPORTS, HOSPITALITY & ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE

Aggressively pursue opportunities to promote Prince George’s County as a prime location for cultural and sporting events. Develop and initiate programs encouraging further economic development and improvements to arts/entertainment and athletic facilities available for resident.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Empowering women owned businesses with information on building capacity. To provide a collaborative environment through roundtable discussions, workshops, networking and training opportunities all centered on business development and legislative action that will benefit and affect women business owners. We will host guest from the Federal, State and Local Governments as well as stakeholders that are offering information on securing procurement for women.

Health Equity
Committee

The Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce Health Equity Committee is a cohort of business leaders who are committed to health and wealth strategies that will enliven wellness in Prince George’s County.  Achieving wellness and health includes health advocacy, business opportunities from key health institutions and community health engagement
